Form Information
Submissions for 2012 will open on May 1, 2012.
Eligibility: High school students, college students,
and emerging filmmakers. See entry form for more details.
Entry Fees: No fee for high school and college students.
$25 per film for emerging filmmakers.
Film Requirements: Film length not to exceed 30 minutes.
All films must be submitted on DVD.
NOTE: To be eligible for Comcast OnDemand, winners must submit their films following these specifications -
MPEG-2 file encoded with the following specifications and burned to a data DVD:
Video:
720 x 480 MPEG-2
29.97 drop frame
Upper field first
Standard 4x3 pixel aspect ratio (0.909)
Audio:
MPEG-1, Layer 2 Audio
48 kHz, 16 bit stereo
192 kbps
Bitrate Settings:
VBR, 1 Pass
Minimum bitrate - 5Mbps
Target bitrate - 8 Mbps
Maximum Bitrate - 15 Mbps
